U.S. Coast Guard Captain's Licensing Courses Begin Jan. 28

U.S. Coast Guard Captain’s licensing courses are being offered by the continuing education division at Wor-Wic Community College in cooperation with the Community College of Baltimore County.

Students who enroll in “U.S. Coast Guard Captain’s Licensing Course (OUPV)” or “U.S. Coast Guard Captain’s Licensing Course (Master 100 Tons)” will meet together on Wednesdays, Jan. 28 through March 11, from 6 to 10 p.m., and on Saturdays, Jan. 31 through March 14, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Students in the Master course will meet for an additional five consecutive sessions on Sundays, Feb. 1 through March 1, from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Anyone who currently has an OUPV Captain’s license can advance to a Master by taking “U.S. Coast Guard Captain’s Licensing Course (Upgrade to Master),” which is being offered on Sundays, Feb. 1 through March 1, from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., and Saturday, March 14, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

All classes will be held at the Wor-Wic campus on the corner of Route 50 and Walston Switch Road in Salisbury.
