All authorized computer users are expected to act responsibly, ethically and legally, and to limit their use of computer resources to the educational purposes and legitimate business of the college. Access to the college database is predicated on the user's acceptance of and adherence to the conditions set forth in the college's computer usage policy, as well as federal and state laws such as the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996. Violators are subject to college disciplinary procedures. If appropriate, the college can pursue criminal and civil prosecution.
