Career Services

Wor-Wic Community College offers a variety of career services with the primary purpose of educating and assisting students, alumni and community in effectively developing, evaluating and implementing career and educational plans. The services offered include individual career counseling, which involves the beginning stages of career development, and career assessment; a career information library; employment directories; job and internship vacancies; and career events such as job fairs and workshops that are scheduled during the year.

Anyone in the community can take advantage of free, one-on-one individual counseling for career planning, including use of DISCOVER, a computerized career guidance system. This resource can help you identify what type of career best suits your personality, what the requirements of the career are and help you determine which classes you should take and the order that would most benefit you. Career Services can also make suggestions about making a transition between careers.

The Student Services office has several computer stations on which you can explore your career aptitudes, search for jobs and job information, write resumes and cover letters, send (internet based) email to potential employers, and do other career-related activities.
