Dual Enrollment

We offer high school juniors and seniors the opportunity to jump start their college career by taking courses at Wor-Wic Community College or their high school. Students must be at least 16 years old. Students are encouraged to talk to their Guidance Counselors for further information. For further information, contact the Admissions Office or refer to the Jump Start flyerAdobe Portable Document Format (PDF) icon.

According to the State of Maryland (COMAR-13B 07. 01. 02), a Dual Enrollment student is defined as “a secondary student who is enrolled in college courses and receives both high school and college credit for the courses completed.” The Dual Enrollment agreements with Wicomico and Somerset Counties, as well as Salisbury Christian School and Salisbury School share this definition.

The Dual Enrollment agreement with Worcester County limits its students to enroll in courses “that are not offered at the student’s high school” and “will only receive the college credit for that course.” Many Worcester County students take Wor-Wic college-level courses right at their high school.
