Adult Education (ABE/GED/ESL)

Earn your Maryland high school diploma. Not a native speaker? Enroll in "English as a Second Language" courses and get prepared for the workforce.

Classes are Free!

Did life get in the way before you completed your high school diploma? A high school diploma is the starting point for most employment on the Lower Eastern Shore, and Wor-Wic offers free adult education for Wicomico County citizens who want to earn their high school diplomas.

Having trouble finding employment because English is not your native language or do you need to become fluent in English to start your college degree? We also offer "English as a Second Language" (ESL) courses for free.

To start working on your high school diploma or to enter our ESL program, you must attend a registration session at the Wicomico County Library in downtown Salisbury. Information on the next registration session can be found in the Continuing Education & Workforce Development schedule or by calling us at 443-260-1703 or emailing adulteducation@worwic.edu. No appointment is necessary! Just walk in and plan to spend a few hours preparing for your courses. Students are accepted on a space-available basis.
