Transfer Planning

We want credits you have earned to transfer in. We want credits you earn here to transfer out. Learn how it all works and save time and money toward your degree.

Stage 1: Discovery
  • Meet with your academic advisor to plan your classes. Be sure to ask about articulation agreements.

  • Attend fall and spring transfer fairs and meet recruiters.

  • Begin researching four-year colleges and universities. Focus on degree programs offered, location and cost.

Stage 2: Preparation
  • Attend transfer nights at local universities.

  • Contact the colleges that interest you to discuss admission requirements for your intended major.

  • Talk to professors and advisors about your long-term plans.

Stage 3: Apply
  • Apply to your schools of interest.

  • Submit the FAFSA and apply for scholarships. 

  • Request transcripts
