TRIO Student Support Services (SSS)

TRIO SSS is a federally-funded academic success program dedicated to serving Wor-Wic students who are eligible based on income, first-generation status and disabilities.

"TRIO has been my biggest support system and resource. I don't think I would be so far without them."
April Moseley
Current TRIO Student

The TRIO SSS program works with each one of our students to encourage their academic development, assist them in meeting their college requirements, and mentor them toward successful completion of their certificate or degree.

TRIO SSS staff offer resources and guidance for program participants who are committed to their education, and are willing to participate in the variety of services specifically designed to assist with their goals.

In order to be eligible, federal guidelines require that each student:

  • Is a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
  • Has not previously earned a college degree and
  • Is at least one of the following:
    • Meets federal income requirements
    • Is a first-generation student (parent/guardian has not earned a bachelor’s degree or higher)
    • Has a physical or learning disability
