Wor-Wic ASL club to screen ‘Coda’

The American Sign Language (ASL) club at Wor-Wic Community College will host a movie night featuring the film “Coda,” on Friday, Sept. 26, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Guerrieri Hall on the Wor-Wic campus. The event is free and open to the public.

“Coda” won Academy Awards for best picture, best supporting actor and best adapted screenplay in 2022. It is about the hearing daughter of a Deaf family who tries to balance her aspirations as a singer with her family responsibilities.

A panel discussion with members of the local Deaf/hard-of-hearing community will be held in the Hazel Center after the screening. Visit the events section of worwic.edu for information.
