
GYOTAKU: Artist Robby Chin displays his fish prints at Wor-Wic Community College. Chin will lead a workshop on fish printing art at the college’s Fall Festival: A Celebration of Arts, Community and Connections.
Wor-Wic Community College will hold a free gyotaku fish printing workshop on Thursday, Sept. 24, from 5 to 6 p.m., in room 201 of the Hazel Center on campus. Gyotaku is the traditional Japanese method of creating art from fish printing. The workshop will be led by Robby Chin, a local artist who runs easternshoregyotaku.com.
The workshop is intended for ages 18 and up. No experience is required and materials will be provided. The workshop is free of charge as part of Wor-Wic’s Fall Festival: A Celebration of Arts, Community and Connections. Visit the college calendar of events for more information.
