The traditional on-campus Summer Scholars courses offered by Wor-Wic Community College have been replaced with interactive online courses this year.
Wor-Wic Community College is offering “Introduction to QuickBooks 2019” in an online format. This six-week course begins June 17, with additional start dates of July 15, Aug. 12 and Sept. 16.
Wor-Wic Community College received a gold award in the student viewbook category for its 2019 “You Book” and a merit award in the special video category for its 2019 holiday greeting in the 35th Annual Educational Advertising Awards, sponsored by “Higher Education Marketing Report,” a monthly magazine covering the admissions marketing field.
Wor-Wic Community College is offering an online photography course called “Photographing Nature with Your Digital Camera.” This six-week course begins June 17, with additional start dates of July 15 and Aug. 12.
Wor-Wic Community College was named as a silver-level Military Friendly School in the community college category for 2020 by VIQTORY, a veteran-owned company whose mission is to assist military personnel transitioning into civilian life.
The continuing education division at Wor-Wic Community College is now offering an online driver education class. The class will be held Monday through Friday, from June 1 through June 12, from 5:30 to 8:45 p.m.
Sarah Wood of Snow Hill, an honors student at Wor-Wic Community College, is this year’s $500 faculty honors scholarship winner.

Wor-Wic Community College has extended the deadline for 2020 high school graduates to apply for the college’s board of trustees scholarship until Friday, May 22.
“Echoes & Visions,” the creative arts magazine at Wor-Wic Community College, won first place yet again in its category of publications from junior/community colleges with a student enrollment of more than 2,501 in the American Scholastic Press Association’s (ASPA) 2019 Scholastic Yearbook and Magazine Awards. The magazine also won first place in 2014, and first place with special merit in 2015 through 2018.
