The Wor-Wic Community College Foundation is sponsoring a 5K Hero Run or 2-mile walk, along with the 2025 First Responder Team Cup Challenge, on Saturday, Oct. 4, at 9 a.m., at the college campus on the corner of Route 50 and Walston Switch Road in Salisbury. Check-in and registration begin at 8 a.m.
Wor-Wic Community College and Symbiosis Skills and Professional University in Pune, India, recently signed a memorandum of understanding allowing student study abroad and internships; faculty exchanges and participation in international programs; visiting scholars for lectures, talks and sharing of expertise; joint research; course development and more. It is the first such agreement with an international institution for the Salisbury-based college.

The Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) recently reaffirmed the accreditation of Wor-Wic Community College after a rigorous process that examined the college’s practices, ethics and outcomes to ensure that Wor-Wic meets its comprehensive accreditation standards.
Wor-Wic Community College has received funding from the Maryland Department of Labor and U.S. Department of Commerce to provide scholarships for commercial driver’s license (CDL) and heavy equipment operator courses.
