Jail and correctional officers graduate

Sixteen jail and correctional officers from Wicomico, Somerset, Dorchester and Talbot counties graduated in the 115th entrance-level class of the Eastern Shore Criminal Justice Academy (ESCJA) operated by Wor-Wic Community College in Salisbury.
 
Graduation exercises, which were held in Guerrieri Hall on the college campus, featured a commencement address by Christine Tyler, deputy director of the Talbot County Department of Corrections.
 
Rob Dell’Erba, ESCJA coordinator, and Carl L. Crumbacker Sr., retired ESCJA coordinator, presided at the ceremony. Jason Burton of the Dorchester County Department of Corrections was the class speaker.
 
In addition to Burton, graduates included Geremiah Ballard, Tyrel Douglas, Van Taylor Jr., Kevin Trader Jr. and La’Neisha Willis of the Wicomico County Department of Corrections, Nkem Abuadinma, Valerie Bethea, Ryan Bohner, Robert Curtis, Alison Jones, Kimberley Saxton and Dekeia Smith of the Eastern Correctional Institution (ECI), William Goslin of the Dorchester County Department of Corrections and Ebony Gould and Brittney Moore of the Talbot County Department of Corrections.
