Wor-Wic Community College will hold a free virtual information session about its computer studies programs on Monday, April 6, at 7 p.m., via Zoom for anyone interested in learning more about degree, transfer and career opportunities in the computer field.
The Aspen Institute College Excellence Program has announced that Deborah Casey, Ph.D., president of Wor-Wic Community College, is one of one of 23 community college presidents selected to participate in the third cohort of the Aspen Presidents Fellowship. The fellows will engage in a year-long professional development experience that will help them develop strategies to help more of their students graduate into good jobs, either directly after community college or following transfer and bachelor’s degree attainment.
Wor-Wic Community College in Salisbury, Md., has been selected as part of a national noncredit workforce initiative. The Education and Employment Research Center at Rutgers University (EERC) and the National Council for Workforce Education (NCWE) have launched Student Voices Informing Practice in Noncredit Workforce Education. This project aims to understand the experiences and perspectives of community college students enrolled in noncredit workforce programs and elevate the insights of the college staff and faculty who oversee and deliver these programs.
