Wor-Wic to host enrollment info session and campus tour

Wor-Wic Community College will hold an information session about how to apply and enroll on Wednesday, Nov. 16, at 3 p.m., in room 308 of Fulton-Owen Hall on the campus at the corner of Route 50 and Walston Switch Road in Salisbury.

Register now for spring classes at Wor-Wic

Wor-Wic Community College is currently accepting registrations for credit classes that are being offered during the spring term, which begins on Friday, Jan. 13. Early registration is encouraged for the best selection of classes. The payment deadline is Thursday, Dec. 1.

Wor-Wic celebrates Radiologic Technology Week

On Nov. 8, 1895, a physics professor, Wilhelm Conrad Roentgen, discovered the X-ray by accident while experimenting in his lab. Now, 127 years later, students in the radiologic technology program at Wor-Wic Community College are celebrating national Radiologic Technology Week from Nov. 6-12. The week not only honors Roentgen’s contributions to medical science, but also the vital work that radiologic technologists perform in health care settings every day.

Grant supports Wor-Wic’s veterans services

Wor-Wic Community College recently received a five-year grant from the U.S Department of Education’s Veterans Upward Bound Program to support veterans on the Lower Eastern Shore.

Grant provides child care funding

Wor-Wic Community College has earned a four-year grant to support campus-based child care services to help low-income parents further their education.

Jail and correctional officers graduate

Sixteen jail and correctional officers from Wicomico, Somerset, Dorchester and Talbot counties graduated in the 115th entrance-level class of the Eastern Shore Criminal Justice Academy (ESCJA) operated by Wor-Wic Community College in Salisbury.
