Wor-Wic Spring Dean’s List Announced

More than 600 Wor-Wic Community College students have been recognized for superior performance by being named to the dean’s list for the recently completed spring semester.

Jail and correctional officers graduate

Twenty-eight jail and correctional officers from Wicomico, Somerset, Dorchester and Queen Anne’s counties graduated in the 78th entrance-level class of the Eastern Shore Criminal Justice Academy (ESCJA) operated by Wor-Wic Community College in Salisbury.

Gulyas Addresses Wor-Wic Graduates

During commencement ceremonies for Wor-Wic Community College at the Wicomico Youth and Civic Center, Louise L. Gulyas, Worcester County Commissioner and the Worcester County liaison to Wor-Wic’s board of trustees, began her address to the graduates by reassuring them that they have “made the right decision to study at Wor-Wic and, of course, to graduate.”

Child Care Provider Communication Course Begins May 18

Child care providers can learn speaking and writing skills to help build positive interpersonal relationships with parents, co-workers and the community by taking “Communication Skills for Child Care Professionals.”

Real Estate Course to be Held May 20

Real estate agents can learn to provide helpful information and solutions for clients when providing up-to-date information on foreclosures by taking “Foreclosures, Short Sales, Deed in Lieu and REOs in Maryland.”

Landscape Maintenance Course Begins May 25

Anyone interested in employment in the landscaping industry can learn the components of turf and landscape management, as well as equipment maintenance, by taking “Landscape Maintenance — Introduction.”
