Students named to All-Maryland Academic Team

Wor-Wic Community College students Tifanee Mask of Berlin and Danielle Turner of Hebron were recently named to the All-Maryland Academic Team, a competition that recognizes academic excellence and community service of two-year college students.

Judge Daniel M. Long addresses Wor-Wic graduates

During Wor-Wic Community College commencement ceremonies at the Wicomico Youth and Civic Center, Judge Daniel M. Long shared stories, personal examples and lessons learned, and urged the graduates to make a difference.

Jail and correctional officers graduate

Twenty-two jail and correctional officers from Wicomico, Worcester, Somerset, Dorchester, Talbot and Caroline counties graduated in the 101st entrance-level class of the Eastern Shore Criminal Justice Academy (ESCJA) operated by Wor-Wic Community College in Salisbury.

Judge Daniel M. Long to address graduates

Daniel M. Long, a member of the House of Delegates representing District 38 from 1983 to 1990 and Somerset County Circuit Court judge from 1990 to 2016, will address the 2018 Wor-Wic Community College graduates at commencement on Wednesday, May 9, at 7 p.m., at the Wicomico Youth and Civic Center in Salisbury.

New veterans center opens at Wor-Wic

With funding from a $1.32 million TRIO Veterans Upward Bound grant, Wor-Wic Community College is inviting Lower Eastern Shore veterans who are interested in continuing their education to visit the new veterans center that recently opened on campus.
