Wor-Wic graduates listed

The following students completed their program requirements to graduate with a certificate of proficiency (CT), associate of applied science (AAS), associate of arts in teaching (AAT), associate of science (AS) or associate of arts (AA) degree from Wor-Wic Community College this past summer.

Founder’s Day held Nov. 18

Wor-Wic Community College recently hosted a Founder’s Day event to celebrate the college’s 40th anniversary.

Register now for spring classes at Wor-Wic

Wor-Wic Community College is currently accepting registrations for credit classes that are being offered during the spring term, which begins on Friday, Jan. 15. Early registration is encouraged for the best selection of classes. The payment deadline is Thursday, Dec. 17.

Wor-Wic students inducted into PTK

Thirty-six Wor-Wic Community College students were inducted into the Alpha Nu Omicron chapter of Phi Theta Kappa during a ceremony held recently at the college campus on the corner of Route 50 and Walston Switch Road in Salisbury.

Free disabilities performance on Oct. 28

In recognition of the 25th anniversary of the signing of the Americans with Disabilities Act, Wor-Wic Community College will host two free performances by the Hugh Gregory Gallagher Theatre.

History alive presentation to be held Oct. 6

Mary Ann Jung will provide an artistic representation of the history of aviation and women’s rights during a free performance called “Amelia Earhart: Dreams Take Flight” that will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 6, at 7 p.m., in Guerrieri Hall at Wor-Wic Community College on the corner of Route 50 and Walston Switch Road in Salisbury.

Geel joins Wor-Wic

Wor-Wic Community College recently welcomed Matthew D. Geel of Salisbury as an assistant professor of accounting.
