Motorcycle Safety Course Begins May 3

A motorcycle safety basic rider course is being offered by the continuing education division in cooperation with the Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration (MVA) at Wor-Wic Community College on the corner of Route 50 and Walston Switch Road in Salisbury.

Wor-Wic Students Inducted into PTK

Fifty-nine Wor-Wic Community College students were inducted into the Alpha Nu Omicron chapter of Phi Theta Kappa during a ceremony held recently at the college campus on the corner of Route 50 and Walston Switch Road in Salisbury.

Summer program for Children to be Held at Wor-Wic

The on-campus child development center at Wor-Wic Community College in Salisbury is accepting registrations now through May 10 for Camp Jordan, a summer day camp program for children from five through 12 years old that runs from June 10 through Aug. 23.

Nance Receives PTK Guistwhite Scholarship

Taren Nance of Pocomoke City, an education major at Wor-Wic Community College in Salisbury, is one of 20 Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) international honor society members who received Guistwhite scholarships and a commemorative medallion at the Phi Theta Kappa Annual Convention in San Jose, Calif., this month.

Franchot to Address 2013 Graduates

Maryland Comptroller Peter Franchot will address the 2013 Wor-Wic Community College graduates at commencement on Tuesday, May 7, at 7 p.m., at the Wicomico Youth and Civic Center in Salisbury.

Register by April 24 for Technology Transfer Training

Entrepreneurs and manufacturers can learn more about technology transfer by taking a new course called “Grow Your Business by Accessing New Product Technology,” which is being offered by the continuing education division at Wor-Wic Community College on Tuesdays, April 30 through May 21, and Wednesday, May 1, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the college campus on the corner of Route 50 and Walston Switch Road in Salisbury.

Allied Health Careers Open House to be Held April 11

The continuing education division at Wor-Wic Community College is offering a free allied health careers open house on Thursday, April 11, from 6 to 7:30 p.m., in Room 105 of Henson Hall at the college campus on the corner of Route 50 and Walston Switch Road in Salisbury.

May 3 is ACT Deadline

Area residents have until Friday, May 3, to register for the American College Testing (ACT) examination, which is being offered by Wor-Wic Community College on Saturday, June 8, at 7:30 a.m., at the college campus on the corner of Route 50 and Walston Switch Road in Salisbury.
