Customer Service Course Begins Sept. 28

Learn ways to work positively with difficult or angry customers, effectively answer questions and solve problems face-to-face and over the phone by taking “Customer Service Skills for the Real World.”

Floral Design Course Begins Sept. 27

Learn advanced design techniques while creating oriental, natural and contemporary floral arrangement styles, including waterfall, mille fleurs, vegetative and Biedermeier designs, by taking “Floral Design: Beyond the Basics.”

Breads Course Begins Sept. 27

Learn how to prepare baguettes, flavored whole grain breads and rolls, as well as exotic flat breads such as Italian foccaccia and Thai flat bread by taking “Old World Breads,” which is being offered by the continuing education division at Wor-Wic Community College on Thursdays, Sept. 27 through Oct. 25, from 6 to 9 p.m., at the college campus on the corner of Route 50 and Walston Switch Road in Salisbury.

Sept. 21 is ACT Deadline

Area residents have until Friday, Sept. 21, to register for the American College Testing (ACT) examination, which is being offered by Wor-Wic Community College on Saturday, Oct. 27, at 7:30 a.m., at the college campus on the corner of Route 50 and Walston Switch Road in Salisbury.

Jail and Correctional Officers Graduate

Twenty-nine jail and correctional officers from Wicomico, Worcester, Somerset, Dorchester, Caroline and Talbot counties graduated in the 85th entrance-level class of the Eastern Shore Criminal Justice Academy (ESCJA) operated by Wor-Wic Community College in Salisbury.

Computer Information Session to be Held Sept. 12

The continuing education division at Wor-Wic Community College is offering a free computer information session on Wednesday, Sept. 12, from 5 to 6:30 p.m., in Room 103C of the Workforce Development Center at the college campus on the corner of Route 50 and Walston Switch Road in Salisbury.
