New Manufacturing Courses Offered in September
Review the basics of math for manufacturing by taking “Math for Manufacturers,” which is a new course being offered by the continuing education division at Wor-Wic Community College on Wednesdays, Sept. 19 through Nov. 28, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the college campus on the corner of Route 50 and Walston Switch Road in Salisbury.
Veterinary Assistant Training Begins Sept. 17
Discover the field of veterinary medicine, and learn about outpatient systems and examination room procedures by taking “Veterinary Assistant Training I: Outpatient Care.”
5K Run/Walk for Wor-Wic to be held Sept. 22
The Wor-Wic Community College Foundation is sponsoring a 5K Run/Walk, along with the 2012 Law Enforcement Team Cup Challenge, on Saturday, Sept. 22, at9 a.m., at the college campus on the corner of Route 50 and Walston Switch Road in Salisbury. Check in and registration begins at 8 a.m.
Theater Performances to Benefit Relay for Life
“Five Women Wearing the Same Dress” will be performed in Guerrieri Hall at Wor-Wic Community College, with proceeds benefitting Relay for Life. Performances will be held on Friday and Saturday, Aug. 24 and 25, at 8 p.m.

Law Enforcement Class Graduates
Eighteen law enforcement officers from Wicomico, Worcester, Dorchester, Caroline, Kent, Queen Anne’s and Garrett counties graduated in the 68th entrance-level class of the Eastern Shore Criminal Justice Academy (ESCJA) operated by Wor-Wic Community College at the corner of Route 50 and Walston Switch Road in Salisbury.
Wor-Wic Graduates Listed
The following students completed their program requirements to graduate with a certificate of proficiency (CT), associate of applied science (AAS), associate of arts in teaching (AAT), associate of science (AS) or associate of arts (AA) degree from Wor-Wic Community College this past fall and spring semesters.
Wor-Wic Kicks Off $5 Million Campaign
Dr. Ray Hoy, president of Wor-Wic Community College, announced the start of the public phase of a $5 million fundraising campaign at a formal kick-off celebration at the college recently, attended by key donors, and members of the board of trustees, the college foundation and campaign steering committee.
Wor-Wic’s Spring Dean’s List Announced
A total of 612 Wor-Wic Community College students have been recognized for superior performance by being named to the dean’s list for the recently completed spring semester.
