Hardwire LLC and ESCJA partner to enhance training efforts
Hardwire LLC, a leading provider of advanced ballistic armor solutions, recently provided a donation to the Eastern Shore Criminal Justice Academy (ESCJA) operated by Wor-Wic Community College. Hardwire LLC provided two law enforcement tactical shields to ESCJA to bolster their training initiatives and better prepare officers for the future challenges they may face in the line of duty.
Secretary Rai addresses Wor-Wic graduates
During Wor-Wic Community College commencement ceremonies at the Wicomico Youth and Civic Center in Salisbury, Dr. Sanjay Rai, secretary of higher education for the Maryland Higher Education Commission, applauded the graduates for building momentum and moving forward to continue their education and careers.
Adult basic education graduates
Wor-Wic Community College recently held a graduation ceremony for area residents who earned their high school diplomas through the adult education services offered by the college.
Dean’s list announced
A total of 482 Wor-Wic Community College students have been recognized for superior performance by being named to the dean’s list for the fall term.
Rai to address graduates
Dr. Sanjay Rai, secretary of higher education for the Maryland Higher Education Commission, will address the 2024 Wor-Wic Community College graduates at commencement on Wednesday, May 8, at 7 p.m. at the Wicomico Youth and Civic Center in Salisbury.
Wor-Wic selected for national student success initiative
Wor-Wic Community College in Salisbury was recently named one of seven community colleges chosen from throughout the nation to participate in the Accelerating Equitable Outcomes initiative of Achieving the Dream (ATD), a national nonprofit organization dedicated to improving student outcomes.
Jail and correctional officers graduate
Twenty-nine jail and correctional officers from Wicomico, Worcester, Somerset, Dorchester and Talbot counties graduated in the 118th entrance-level class of the Eastern Shore Criminal Justice Academy (ESCJA) operated by Wor-Wic Community College in Salisbury.
Students inducted into PTK
Seventeen Wor-Wic Community College students participated in an induction ceremony for the Alpha Nu Omicron chapter of Phi Theta Kappa at the college campus on the corner of Route 50 and Walston Switch Road in Salisbury.
