Free Welding Training

We’ve partnered with Arcon Welding Services and Quality Staffing Services to create a free 10-week, 350-hour welding program that will take you from the basics of arc welding to someone with the skills to pass the welder qualification test for structural welders. The program is funded by the Maryland Department of Energy and the Maryland Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation.  Please note that students must provide personal protective equipment at an estimated cost of $250.

In addition to our free welding training program, Wor-Wic offers courses that you can complete in just 12 sessions.
MIG/TIG and Arc Welding – Introduction
Develop skills in basic MIG, TIG and arc welding while focusing on appropriate safety precautions.  There is a significant amount of hands-on experience learning how to properly weld joints used in MIG and TIG welding.
MIG/TIG and Arc Welding – Intermediate
Designed for welders that have completed the introductory MIG/TIG welding courses. Focus on machine set-up and making different types of welds on carbon, stainless steel and aluminum.
