Student leaders who provide service to Wor-Wic and the community while gaining leadership experience.

Student ambassadors are student leaders who provide service to Wor-Wic and the community while gaining leadership experience. In any position, a student ambassador’s goal is to help the event or experience be successful, whether that is providing campus tours, assisting with recruitment efforts, or sharing personal stories about their experiences at Wor-Wic.

Social Media Influencer

Purpose: To represent and “sell” the college using all the major social media platforms.

General Duties:

  • Work with supervisor on schedule of events to ensure events are covered on social media;
  • Create original content for digital platforms (Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok, etc.);
  • Take photos of campus community and students;
  • Attend events and campus activities to gather content for social media;
  • Research social media trends to incorporate into Wor-Wic material;
  • Serve as a resource to aid the marketing and communications department with interviews, photoshoots, and video productions; and
  • Reply to/retweet/like posts by at least three of Wor-Wic’s followers at least twice per week.
Technology Support

Purpose: To assist students with everyday technology questions, including myWor-Wic, Microsoft 365 and Blackboard.

General Duties:

  • Maintain “desk hours” within the student services office to provide 1:1 support for students with technology-related questions;
  • Provide student-facing problem solving to students during the admissions process. Refer to admissions staff for application-specific issues;
  • Help students navigate the course registration process (all students must report to AA for course registration);
  • Conduct “live chat” sessions with prospective students; and
  • Use Zoom to conduct virtual information sessions.
Recruitment / Outreach

Purpose: To represent and “sell” Wor-Wic in the general community. Act as the official host for Wor-Wic. Must have access to reliable transportation to/from off-campus events.
General Duties:

  • Welcome and greet visitors in student services;
  • Offer individual and group tours to prospective students and guests;
  • Assist with manning tables during outreach events, such as college and transfer fairs;
  • Assist in distributing information regarding campus events, days and activities;
  • Represent the college at community/off-campus events;
  • Follow-up with prospective students via phone, email or regular mail; and
  • Assist the outreach coordinator with creating and updating a community directory.
Event Planner

Purpose: To assist the enrollment management and student services division with all event planning and promotion.

General Duties:

  • Promote and assist with student engagement events;
  • Provide expertise in event planning aspects for other units, such as student success and counseling;
  • Assist with programs such as commencement, recognition ceremonies, advocacy days and receptions; and
  • Assist in the set-up and break down of events.


  • Have at least one semester and six credits completed at Wor-Wic by the start date of the position;
  • Enroll in a degree or certificate program with the intent to complete;
  • Enroll in a minimum of six credits during the semester of participation;
  • Have a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA;
  • Must be in good academic and disciplinary standing;
  • Willing to adhere to a professional working environment;
  • Knowledge and expertise in various social media platforms, as well as email; and
  • Must be available for mandatory training prior to the start of the semester and mandatory weekly meetings throughout the semester.
