Wor-Wic Community College sponsors a Career/Job Fair during the academic year, usually held in the spring.

Choosing a Major: Discovering Your True Fit - Wednesday, Sept. 21

Open to current Wor-Wic students, alumni and community members, this workshop will be held from 10 a.m. to noon in Room 103B of Fulton-Owen Hall. Determining your interests and abilities is an important step when it comes to choosing your major. After all, you want to pursue a major that both challenges and satisfies you. By attending this workshop, you will have a better idea of what type of major could fit you best. 

Career Choices: Are you on the right path? - Thursday, Oct. 20

Open to current Wor-Wic students, alumni and community members, this workshop will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. in Room 103B of Fulton-Owen Hall. Career planning can be intimidating for many students, especially in today's job market. Decisions you make now could impact your ability to land the job of your dreams later. By attending this workshop, you will explore your interests, skills and values, as well as how they tie into realistic and viable career options. We will also explore the job market and discuss current trends. 

Job Fair Prep & Pizza Workshop - Thursday, Nov. 3

Open to current Wor-Wic students, alumni and community members, this workshop will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in Room 103B of Fulton-Owen Hall. By participating in this workshop, you will learn how to write an effective resume, successfully network at a job 
fair, present yourself in the best light, answer challenging interview questions, ask the best questions, follow-up after the event and the importance of volunteer experience on your resume. Participants can also bring an existing resume to have it reviewed. Reserve your spot by Thursday, Oct. 13, by sending your name and phone number to careerservices@worwic.edu and include whether you are a student, alum or community member. 

Lunch & Learn: Tips to Ease Text Anxiety - Monday, Nov. 7

Open to current and prospective Wor-Wic students, this workshop will be held from 12 to 12:45 p.m. in Room 103B of Fulton-Owen Hall. A free boxed lunch is included. The workshop covers how to prepare for final exams as well as how to ease test anxiety. Reserve your spot by Monday, Oct. 17, by sending your name and phone number to careerservices@worwic.edu and include whether you are a current or prospective student.

Career Development Week - Monday, Nov. 14 - Friday, Nov. 18

Participate in these free, virtual career development sessions via Zoom:

  • Effective Resume Writing - Monday, Nov. 14, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
  • Career Exploration - Wednesday, Nov. 16, from noon to 1:30 p.m.
  • How to Interview Successfully ... Virtually - Friday, Nov. 18, from 1 to 2:30 p.m.
