Did life get in the way before you completed your high school diploma? Wor-Wic offers free Adult Basic Education and GED courses for Wicomico County residents who want to earn their high school diploma. If taking the GED Test is not your preferred option to get your high school diploma, the National External Diploma Program is non-instructional and self-directed. Eligible test scores are required to become enrolled. The program is offered to Wicomico, Worcester and Somerset County residents for a fee of $150.
Do you need help with reading, speaking, listening or writing skills because English is not your native language? We also offer English for Speakers of Other Languages courses for free to Wicomico County residents.

Foundations of College Literacy (ENG 087)
Prepares students to enter a workforce pathway or take college credit courses. Areas of instruction include an introduction to college learning systems, reading comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, and the writing process. This is a self-paced course that runs for ten weeks. Assignments can be completed online through Blackboard anywhere students have access to a computer with an internet connection or on campus in the Reading and Writing Center (BH 227), where qualified instructors are available to assist students with the course materials. Students must attend a mandatory orientation session in BH 227 at 9:00am on the first day of the session and participate in two in-person or virtual conferences with an instructor during the session.
