transfer out

We want credits you earn here to transfer out. Learn how it all works and save time and money toward your degree.

Stage 1: Discovery
  • Make an appointment with an advisor here to discuss your transfer timeline and review any relevant transfer agreements.

  • Attend fall and spring transfer fairs to discover local transfer institutions and meet recruiters.

  • Begin researching four-year colleges and universities that you are interested in. Focus on the programs that are offered, the location and cost.

Stage 2: Preparation
  • Attend transfer events at local universities as well as here at Wor-Wic during our transfer fairs.

  • Visit the websites of colleges you’re interested in going to, making note of application deadlines and requirements for admission. Make sure they offer the program that you’re interested in and review the program requirements.

  • Make an appointment with a Wor-Wic advisor to discuss your plans. You can also speak with a professor in the field of your intended major to discuss future career plans.

Stage 3: Apply
  • Complete the application for any college that you’re interested in. Be sure to ask about possible application waivers for attending campus tours or other events.

  • Submit your FAFSA and apply for other scholarships as needed. Don’t forget to add your new colleges to your FAFSA list of schools.

  • Request your Wor-Wic transcripts to be sent to the transfer college(s)
