Wor-Wic Community College is offering free webinars on financial technology, or fintech, in November and December. The four sessions are the college’s first venture with its partner school in India, Symbiosis Skills and Professional University.
Wor-Wic Community College will benefit from a state-philanthropic partnership that will allocate funds toward a program to help ensure more students graduate on time: the Accelerated Study in Associate Programs (ASAP) initiative.
Wor-Wic Community College has added a dean position to oversee science, technology, engineering and mathematics programs at the college, and appointed Dr. Stacey J. Hall to fill the role.

Wor-Wic Community College will offer its credit degree students the opportunity to study abroad in January. A special seven-week program will bring students to Stirling, Scotland, to live in a residence hall for two weeks for both classroom and field-based learning.
Lowensky Azor has big goals – he wants to become a physician. He started his path in the certified nursing assistant program at Wor-Wic, and he’s determined to overcome any obstacle to make a difference in health care.

Bill Turner of Salisbury was recently appointed to the board of trustees of Wor-Wic Community College by Maryland Gov. Wes Moore.
The American Sign Language (ASL) club at Wor-Wic Community College will host a movie night featuring the film “Coda,” on Friday, Sept. 26, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Guerrieri Hall on the Wor-Wic campus. The event is free and open to the public.
