Criminal justice covers a range of occupations. All of them require the ability to handle stress, potentially dangerous situations and a workload that can change by the minute. Our experienced faculty can teach you the skills it takes to enter a career in corrections, forensic science or law enforcement.

Individuals interested in working in a criminal justice agency are subject to a thorough background investigation, and they must meet minimum physical and mental requirements.

Degree and Certificate Programs

Criminal Justice, A.A.S. Provides the basic skills needed for entry-level positions in corrections or to earn credits for transfer to a four-year university to work toward a bachelor’s degree in corrections.
Criminal Justice, Forensic Science Technology Concentration, A.A.S. Provides the basic skills needed for entry-level positions in forensics or to earn credits for transfer to a four-year university to work toward a bachelor’s degree in forensic science.
Criminal Justice, Certificate Provides the skills and knowledge needed to begin a career in Criminal Justice.
Criminal Justice, Corrections Technology, Certificate Provides college credits to students who are admitted into our Eastern Shore Criminal Justice Academy’s entrance-level training program for correctional officers.
Criminal Justice, Investigative Forensics Technology, Certificate Provides the skills and knowledge needed to begin a career in forensics.
Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement Technology, Certificate Provides college credits to students who are admitted into our Eastern Shore Criminal Justice Academy’s entrance-level training program for law enforcement officers.
