Learning to drive is essential to getting and keeping a job on the Lower Eastern Shore. Scholarships are available to eligible Worcester, Wicomico, and Somerset county residents who plan on enrolling in the 36-hour training course. Complete and submit the Driver Education Scholarship application.
The Able to Work Eastern Shore Fund’s intent is to improve the employment and educational outcomes for people with disabilities with a priority on youth transitioning from school to post-secondary education/training and/or career. The funds may be granted to any qualified government entity, including school systems, and/or 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations for a qualified individual(s) residing in Wicomico, Worcester, Somerset, Kent, Queen Anne’s, Caroline, Talbot and Dorchester counties in Maryland; Sussex County, DE; and Accomack and Northampton counties in Virginia.
